I just thought that I would show a quick useful shelter option for those of you that travel light, travel fast or are on the run. I use it almost exclusively now and I thought that I would share it with you.

It is expensive but worth it. That, however was not the intent of the video. You can make that shelter with almost anything. You can even use a large trash bag if you tie it with an "indian button" IE: a small rock and a girth hitch.

Steve sent you the picture of my son in the shelter. He wanted to go back to the forest preserve yesterday to practice making the shelter "I can make by myself". He also asked if he could sleep under it instead of his hammock next time we go camping. Thanks again. Brian
ReplyDeleteWildmutt1978, That is cool, thanks for sharing that with me. NM
ReplyDeleteIs that the standard or king size Jerven? I appreciate you taking the time to share. Thanks, jge3
ReplyDeleteThanks for this video. Your method is really ideal and simple.
ReplyDeletegreat idea, i've added it to my E&E kit in my rig.
ReplyDeletehad difficulty duplicating it with a 6 x 8 tarp. Seems to work best with a square tarp such as yours. Like the idea however,
